The Choctaw-Apache Tribe of Ebarb hosted their 33rd Annual Powwow from April 23rd to April 25th, 2026. On Friday, Sabine Parish seventh grade students were invited to attend the Indian Education Demonstration Day. Throughout the day, students explored Native American culture through a variety of interactive learning experiences. They had the opportunity to engage with cultural demonstrations, observe traditional practices, and gain a deeper understanding of the history and traditions of the Choctaw-Apache Tribe.A highlight of the day was a mini Powwow, where dancers proudly showcased their beautiful regalia and performed a variety of traditional dances. Students were engaged and excited to learn more about the rich heritage of the tribe.A sincere thank you to the demonstrators and planning committee for making this educational day a success.
