On Friday, April 10, 2026, students from the district attended the Battle of Pleasant Hill Reenactment Education Day held in Pleasant Hill. Students participated in a variety of interactive educational stations designed to bring Civil War history to life through hands-on learning experiences. Activities included demonstrations and discussions on infantry tactics, artillery, Civil War medicine, historical flags, and camp life during the 19th century. Students enjoyed a day of educational activities and historical presentations throughout the battlefield grounds.
