The Choctaw-Apache Tribe of Ebarb held their 32nd Annual Powwow from April 24th to 26th, 2025. On Friday, April 25th, seventh graders from Sabine Parish Schools were invited to the Indian Education Demonstration Day. At the event, students learned about Native American culture by visiting different stations. They enjoyed sampling Indian fry bread, listening to Native American storytelling, and learning to play stickball. Students also learned about important skills like fishing and trapping. The students watched a mini Powwow where several dancers showcased their beautiful regalia and performed various styles of dance. The students were excited to learn about the traditions of the Choctaw-Apache Tribe. It was a wonderful day. A big thank you goes out to the demonstrators and planning committee who helped make the educational day successful.
