Sabine Parish School District

The Choctaw-Apache Tribe of Ebarb held their 31st Annual Powwow April 25th - 27th, 2024. On Friday, April 26th, Sabine Parish 7th graders were invited to attend the Indian Education Demonstration Day. Students visited several stations where they were taught about Native American culture. Students also enjoyed sampling Indian fry bread, listening to Native American Storytelling, and learning about fishing and trapping. They observed a mini Powwow and saw many dancers wearing their beautiful regalia. It was a great event that was enjoyed by all in attendance. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible.
